General Description
This is an administrative and operational role that primarily focuses on coordinating fleet maintenance and repairs. Procure vehicles and equipment in accordance with federal, state, and GSA regulations. Maintains accurate records of vehicles and tribal assets. Develop asset management processes and continuous improvements to processes. Manage vehicle and asset inventory and promote the cost-effective and appropriate operation of departmental vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop preventative maintenance program for all equipment and coordinate contracts with vendors to perform repairs
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the overall efficiency and success of business operations
  • Must be able to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment for miscellaneous services or to inspect for inventory purposes
  • Responsible for checking, inspecting, and organizing all assets to ensure equipment is in working order
  • Obtain and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals for purchasing vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain GPS system to monitor drivers and track vehicles
  • Oversee WEX fuel system and generate monthly reports
  • Coordinating with insurance brokerage to file claims for damaged vehicles
  • Ensuring all company vehicles are insured and registered
  • Assist in the preparation of vehicles and equipment for auction
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Procurement Director
Education Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 3 years’ experience with particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position
  • Principles, operations, organization, policies and objectives of all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair, and operation of vehicles
  • Time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong office skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work closely, and relate well with fellow employees
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral required
  • Physically able to perform required duties (lifting 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, stooping, squatting and occasionally working outdoors)
  • Work independently with little direction 
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, able to pass a background investigation, and be able to pass a drug screen
  • Working knowledge of asset and fleet management skills (i.e. writing & understanding bid specs, rotation intervals to be based on depreciation, cost accounting, and purchasing
