General Description
This position is located at the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Clinic- Little Axe Clinic in Norman, Oklahoma. The Little Axe Clinic is an outpatient multi-disciplinary clinic established and managed by the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for managing patient appointments, coordinating provider schedules, and facilitating seamless communication across Primary Care, Specialty Services, Employee Health, and Public Health. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities to enhance patient experience and clinic efficiency. Attendance is essential to achieving success in this role. Responsibilities & Duties
Coordinate and schedule patient visits based on provider availability and clinic policies.
Ensure accurate collection and verification of patient demographics and insurance details.
Maintain up-to-date scheduling for physicians, nurses, and specialists.
Answer calls and provide information regarding appointment availability, clinic procedures, and general inquiries.
Follow clinic policies and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Work closely with medical staff, billing, and administrative teams to optimize scheduling efficiency.
Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate patient needs and provider availability.
Document scheduling activities and update electronic health records (EHR) as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in medical scheduling and or healthcare administration.

Proficiency in scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
