General Description
The Grant Project Principle Investigator is responsible for the management and integrity of the design, conduct, and reporting of the project and for managing, monitoring and ensuring the integrity of any collaborative relationships.  Additionally, the Grant Project Principle Investigator is responsible for the direction and oversight of compliance, financial, personnel, and other related aspects of the project.    Further, managing the operations of the grant project consistent with the proposal, AST operational principles, Grant(s) Policies, AST policies & procedures, grant conditions, grant requirements, and applicable statutes.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide overall direction and strategic oversight for the grant project, ensuring all activities align with the project’s goals, timeline, and approved scope of work.
  • Represent the program through participation in working groups and committees.
  • Design, guide, and monitor research or programmatic activities; ensure methodological integrity and adherence to evidence‑based practices.
  • Oversee data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and secure storage in accordance with grant and organizational standards.
  • Oversees strategic planning and management to enhance the program.
  • Manage and coordinate all operational and promotional aspects program.
  • Share data and best practices through presentations and reports.
  • Must be able to independently travel when necessary.
  • Monitor project outcomes, identify gaps, and implement improvements to strengthen project performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or public administration or equivalent; or
  • 2 years federal grants management experience with projects with annual budget over $100,000.
  • 3 years supervisory experience with duties including staff selection and evaluation; administration of personnel policies; managing budgets; and setting program objectives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with others.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members, including physicians, RNs, and management in the planning and the implementation of Models of Care in accordance with grant requirements.
  • Must be reliable, detailed oriented, capable of multi-tasking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; strong writing skills, ability to relate well with co-workers and the general public.
  • Ability to adjust to changing conditions.
  • Skilled in operating phones, computer, software and other IT systems in order to maintain accurate records for program results.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
  • Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 15 lbs)
  • Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs)
