General Description
Responsible for the maintenance, repair and general upkeep of all Tribal Grounds and Tribal Membership, especially in regards to HVAC work. Primary duties will be performed on the AST Tribal Complex/ Tribal Property/Tribal Membership Homes. HVAC performs all work with Federal, State and local rules and regulations including safety, health and funding source regulations.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and install utility systems and equipment which include HVAC systems and other similar facility support systems.
• Installs, modifies, repairs and performs diagnostic evaluations on new and existing HVAC units in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings with Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Complies with company and industry safety standards.
• Knowledge of the potential occupational hazards connected with maintenance work and the safety standard.
• Sets performance improvement and safety standards for staff and ensure they are met
• Plan and schedule routine inspections of facilities HVAC systems.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and serve on committees regarding facilities & maintenance as needed. Responsible for job safety walk through and inspections
• Provides input for budget development, monitors expenditures for maintenance services, and coordinates related items with management. Prepares reports and other documents as requested by Maintenance Director & Executive Committee
• Knowledge of Vocational/ Technical School training requirements
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with the public, vendors or contractors
• Responsible for knowing and understanding all job related paperwork, ie permits, plans, and specifications.
• Travel as needed and when requested.
• Other Duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Licensed in Oklahoma by Board of Construction
• Five years HVAC/ Mechanical experience
• Experience with Computer- Controlled HVAC systems
• Must be insurable.
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task
• Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Licensed in Oklahoma by Board of Construction
• Five years HVAC/ Mechanical experience
• Experience with Computer- Controlled HVAC systems
• Must be insurable.
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task
• Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements Working Conditions
• Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
• Will be required to work in settings of extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing ladders
• Knowledge of the potential occupational hazards connected with maintenance work and the safety standard.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
