General Description
This position supports the Public Relations (PR) Director in three essential components for the success of the AST Health System and the execution of its mission, values, and community-centered strategies:
Advocating good health practices to the community and integrating population health and community needs with provided services.
Marketing, via print and digital media, the Health System’s Strategic plan to support the implementation its mission, goals, and values.
Communication using various platform, both digital and print, including but not limited to, designing, planning, budgeting, implementing, coordinating, promoting, delivering, and evaluating the message and campaign results.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the PR Director’s assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the Health System Public Relations/Marketing; including the community-based healthcare services’ effectiveness to the community at large, and the implementation of services focused upon identified primary areas of concern including the Community Needs Assessment (C.N.A).
This is accomplished through collaboration and coordination with various members of health staff and tribal employees, as well as vendors and community members, to improve and retain inter-personal relations with key tribal and non-tribal members to better serve the larger community and assess their needs.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director with the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and the Patient Experience Program to better assess Tribal members’ needs.
Assist the Director with patient survey’s, data, and organizational performance to ensure consistent improvement.
Support the organization’s reporting of patient care benchmarks and measurements to federal/state authorities as needed
Work with Health employees to ensure patient satisfaction/ handle, track, and report complaints.
Assist in printing/laminating marketing materials.
Assist in the executing of web development initiatives, including web content evaluation.
Maintain and evaluate social media tactics and brand awareness.
Display knowledge of industry competition to determine product positioning, differentiation, trends, and innovation.
Maintain and develop relationships between the Health System and third-party organizations.
Work with Tribal resources to create marketing materials as needed.
Attend and represent AST Health System as directed by the PR Director and the Deputy Director at Tribal and public events.
Submit a Monthly Report regarding marketing services, events, and meetings attended, to the PR Director.

Education Requirements and Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience of successful community organizing, public outreach and marketing/strategic communications; preferred but not required.
Proficiency in graphic design techniques using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
Demonstrated ability to work with various partners and diverse populations, including the corporate sector, community advocates, faith-based organizations, and community groups.
Demonstrate consistent group facilitation and public speaking skills
Understanding of marketing/community relations principles and the ability to implement low-cost creative strategies
Well-versed in social media channels and their functions
Candidates must have/be:

Qualifications
Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree,  and/or Vo-tech certification and substantial experience in health public relations and  marketing;  (preferred but not required)
Certificates and Licenses
Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver License.
Must be able to pass background check.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
