General Description
This position is located at the Little Axe Clinic in Norman, Ok.  The purpose of this position is to develop implement and maintain plans to prevent crime, in order to protect the property, personnel, and patients of the facility.  As well as implement and maintain Emergency Management plans that comply with all Federal, State, and Local guidelines regarding loss prevention, emergency safety and worker safety regulations.    Assists with interviews, trains, supervise, counsels, schedules and evaluate security staff. Serves as liaison with local law enforcement and leads investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss, etc. Oversees the administration and accuracy of all required reports and documentation within the department.
Responsibilites
Directs and coordinates activity of the Security Department resulting in efficient and safe operations of the facility.
Responsible for scheduling the Security Department at all locations and responsible for all monthly reports.
Develop and formulate Emergency and Safety Management guidelines and Disaster Response plans. 
Coordinates and directs installation of electronic security systems, entry controls, burglar alarms, smoke detectors and outdoor perimeter surveillance.
 Develops preventative management strategies, which may include monitoring the effectiveness of the security systems and technology as well as the facility’s computerized identification technology and access controls.
Conducts surprise security and emergency evacuation drills to check the efficiency of all security measures.
Conduct or supervise investigations conducted by safety personnel and coordinate outside law enforcement investigations.
Implements procedures for handling, storing, safekeeping, and destroying classified materials such as surveillance video, and logs.
Maintain and review logs and reports of incidents that occur on the grounds to analyze if failures exist in safety and security policies.   
May provide decision-making, leadership and strategic planning for the facility during Crisis Management.
Assist Department Heads in the development of event/departmental specific security and safety needs.
Responsible for the overall security of the property assets.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
Must be reliable, detailed oriented, capable of multi-tasking with excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong professional customer service interpersonal skills.  
Computer literacy required (Windows operating systems – Microsoft Word, Excel).
Should have in-depth knowledge of Security Environment and Security Hazards and OSHA regulations.
Knowledge in Fire and public safety regulations relevant to the facility’s needs.
 Requires high level of problem solving and analytical skills
Requires knowledge of firearms proficiency and training.
Requires CLEET certification
Requires CPR and First Aid certification
Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years’ experience in Military, Police Force or related law enforcement experience preferred. 
Must meet the physical requirements which may include lifting or carrying 50+ pounds.
Must possess Oklahoma State Driver’s Licenses   
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
